Barbecue tips & tricks for the last days of summer & The Chinese Burger Recipe

I've decided to write every week my thoughts about ingredients, techniques in kitchen and cooking, in general, and give you guys tips & tricks for a more fun & healthy way to cook your every day food.

Because the summer is about to end, I thought that there is no better way to end it than making a last barbecue with our family and friends.

First, think about what you would like to prepare for your loved ones. I'm recommending a great recipe of a burger along with some awesome fries. Would you like to try it?

In order to get the award for the best burger in town, make sure the grill is clean and preheated. Cook the burger on both sides at the perfect temperature for it (160 degrees F - 70 degrees C). One of the secrets for the perfect burger is to flip it only once, so the meat won't become dry from overcooking.

At the end, make sure you have a combination of ingredients, along with home -made buns, because they are extremely important.

Check out my burger recipe, which you can also find in my first and latest book, inspired from my trips to the continent of Street Food, Asia.

CHINESE BURGER

Ingredients

For meat

500 g of pork meat

3 spoons of soya sauce

50 g of ginger

1 teaspoon of black pepper

salt, as much as you please

1 green onion

10 g of fresh coriander

1 teaspoon of turmeric

4 garlic cloves

100 g of black beans sause

300 g of tofu

For bread

500 g of flour

8 g of yeast

1 teaspoon of salt

250 - 300 ml of water

For plating

1 tomato

1 lettuce

1 green onion

1 chili bird's eye

4 spoons of soya sauc

For sauce

100 g of mayonnaise

10 g of wassabi powder

The first step for preparing this delicious burger is to make the patties for the burger. Chop the pork meat and use the grater to process all the ingredients.  Mix well and create the patties. Leave them to cold.

Meanwhile, you can prepare the buns by mixing the flour, yeast and salt. Then slowly pour water until you get a dense dough. Continue to mix for about 10 minutes. Cover it with a towel for about an hour, until it doubles its volume.

Form multiple buns, then bake them in the over for about 30 minutes, at a 180 degrees temperature. If you prefer a sweeter flavor of the buns, you can grease them with an beaten egg and some sesame seeds on the top.

Create the sauce by mixing the ingredients.

Finally, create the burger, step by step, first the bun, then the sauce, add lettuce, tomato, the patty, tofu cheese, green onion and the other bun. To hold all the ingredients together, pun a stick in the middle of it and a chili bird's eye on the top of everything.

This chinese burger is best served with a portion of french fries.

Now that's what I like to call a food experience.

With love,
